Niels van Hoof successfully defends his PhD thesis

On June 3rd, 2021 has Niels van Hoof defended his Ph.D. thesis titled “Mapping Ultrafast Electric Fields using Terahertz Microscopy”. During his Ph.D., Niels has developed a unique THz near-field microscope that has enabled the investigation of resonances in surfaces at THz frequencies that were inaccessible before.
