Enhanced Delayed Fluorescence in Tetracene Crystals by Strong Light‐Matter Coupling

We have demonstrated a four-fold enhancement of the delayed fluorescence in tetracene crystals by strongly coupling singlet excitons to photons in an optical cavity formed by a nanoparticle array. The enhanced luminescence is attributed to triplet excitons that are harvested by the lower polariton band emerging from the strong coupling. These type of effects in…

Spectral and temporal evidence of robust photonic bound states in the continuum on terahertz metasurfaces

In collaboration with the group of Sanchez Gil (CSIC-Spain), we have demonstrated that a simple array of gold dimers can support modes with infinite life-times. We have investigated these, so-called, Bound States in the Continuum using THz time-domain spectroscopy. Read more in our published Optica.

Terahertz Time-Domain Spectroscopy and Near-Field Microscopy of Transparent Silver Nanowire Networks

In collaboration with our former colleages of the Dutch Institute for Fundamental Energy Research, we have measured the sheet conductance of transparent electrodes formed by networks of Ag nanowires. The measurements have been done in a contact-free manner and spatially resolved, using our newly developed THz near-field microscope. Read more in our published Advanced Optical…
